A gifted director with over two decades in the television industry.

Leon Knoles got his start as a technical director on high profile multi camera shows such as the  Oscar Red Carpet Show, BET HonorsAmerica’s Got Talent,.three seasons of American Idol, and five seasons of Last Comic Standing,  He transitioned seamlessly into directing with Damon Wayans Comedy Special Way Out” (Comedy Central), and has since gone on to direct multiple episodes of In Performance At The White House, The National Christmas Tree Lighting, and MusiCares Annual Person Of The Year Tribute. He launched the Arsenio Hall Show in 2013, and he continues to direct music, talk and award show specials. His most recent credits include Greatest Hits for ABC, Global CitizenStevie Wonder: An All-Star Grammy Salute, Shinning A Light: The Concert For Progress On Race In America and A Celebration Of Hollywood: ABFF Awards.

With a passion for music, Knoles has directed a multitude of artists including Beyonce, The Band Perry, Lady Gaga, Pink, Alicia Keys, Alison Krauss, Luke Bryan, Faith Hill, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, Morris Day and The Time, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Andra Day, Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Yolanda Adams, Mumford and Sons, Sting, Neil Young, Alabama Shakes, Smokey Robinson, John Legend, James Taylor, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Diana Krall, Herbie Hancock and Dave Matthews.
